Written by Alison Bailin, the piece explores standout sour cocktails from around the Valley, celebrating the balance, brightness, and creativity that have kept the classic cocktail style relevant.
COURSE’s featured cocktail takes inspiration from HBO’sTrue Detective, beginning with a rye-based foundation and layering in brown butter-washed vodka, lime juice, lemon juice, and clarified rhubarb. The cocktail is then served with a liquid nitrogen-chilled Nick & Nora glass and finished with a toasted graham cracker meringue and bright lime curd.
