We’re grateful to be included in Fabulous Arizona’s 2025 Holiday Dining guide, featuring more than 30 festive dining experiences from restaurants and resorts across the state.
The feature highlights COURSE Restaurant’s 12 Days of Christmas Tasting Menu, which returned for the 2025 holiday season with inspiration from the classic filmA Christmas Story. Executive Chef Cory Oppold transformed memorable moments from the movie into an imaginative tasting experience that brought together fine dining, nostalgia, and playful storytelling.
Among the courses featured wasYou’ll Shoot Your Eye Out, made with bigeye tuna, winter melon, yuzu, and masaga arare. The article also spotlightedSecret Decoder, an interactive course that invited guests to uncover the dish with a tableside decoder key before enjoying lamb with buttery beans, leek, rosemary, and jus.
The holiday experience continued with dishes includingTurkey Junkie, featuring confit turkey thigh, stuffing, and Brussels sprouts, andI Hate Meatloaf, a refined Wagyu interpretation served with pommes mousseline and braised red cabbage. To close the experience,Oh, Fudge! brought together chocolate, coconut, toasted almond, and lime leaf for a playful final nod to the film.
The 12 Days of Christmas Tasting Menu is one of the ways Chef Cory and the COURSE team bring storytelling into the dining room, using each course as an opportunity to combine technique, creativity, seasonality, and a little unexpected fun.
